I'm 34 weeks!
Pregnancy Highlights
How Far Along: I’m 34 weeks
Size of Baby: Anderson is the size of a bag of sugar (between 4 & 5 pounds!)
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained 17 lbs (How did I lose a pound when I've been stuffing my face?)
Maternity Clothes: All but some baggy sweats & tanks at this point!
Gender: It’s a boy! Anderson Lee Astacio J
Movement: Oh man… crazy little guy. Sometimes gets uncomfortable in my ribs, but I still love to feel him wiggle! And I'm pretty sure he already knows how to salsa & meringue! HA.
Sleep: Minus some leg cramping in the middle of the night, I’ve been sleeping really well.
What I miss: Sleeping on my stomach.
Cravings: I just want a delicious DONUT!
Symptoms: Some random ligament pain or shooting pains down my leg when walking, but nothing terrible.
Best Moment this week: The nursery is ALMOST done. I have been hard at work doing some decorating! I really am loving how it is turning out. I like the boyish baseball-ness, but the “non-nursery” look going on! I hope he loves it. J Hard to believe there’s only 6 more weeks.
Now...for an unofficial tour of Anderson's Vintage Baseball Nursery...
Want a ticket to the game? Root, root, root for the HOME team! (OF COURSE Mr. Anderson's team is winning after the 3rd Inning-ha!)... I purchased this open back frame Hobby Lobby, then bought mat board that I spray painted with Chalkboard paint, put the mounting and hardware on the back, got out some chalk and this is how it turned out. :)
Then, months ago I had seen the lovely LayBabyLay's idea of doing a family tree photo gallery wall, which inspired my thinking for these next few pictures. She had family photos in her daughter's nursery of both hers and her husband's sides of the family. I had been thinking of a way to do a vintage baseball type of nursery, but refused to make it too nursery-looking or too cheesy, so the perfect idea popped into my head! Considering I come from a HUGE baseball loving family (and so does my husband), I KNEW I could find some old pictures of our men playing baseball. I rounded up some pictures of my brother, my dad, my grandpa, and during our last visit to Puerto Rico, I grabbed some pictures of Roberto and his brother. So, here is the "baseball take" on doing a family wall in Anderson's room!
I wanted to frame quotes or bible verses or SOMETHING that could be inspirational but also relate to playing the game, so enter these two bible verses: 1 Corinthians 9:24 & Colossians 3:23 (THANK YOU Susan for the Corinthians suggestion--I love it)!
Here is the full wall:
1st column on left from top to bottom: my brother, Roberto with some of his University of Dayton teammates, my grandpa in 1954 (wow!) and little Roberto.
2nd column: Little Roberto again and my brother as a precious 10 year old catcher.
3rd column: My dad playing as the University of Texas mascot, hence his love for the Longhorns! Then, another picture of Roberto as a youngin!
4th column: my brother pitching during a highschool game, Roberto's brother as a lil one, another picture of my brother, then one of my grandpa as a catcher!
I LOVE how it came out. I bought ALL of these frames, including the white beadboard ones with the verses, from Michaels...great sales & always coupons involved. YES!
I also added the apothecary jar with the baseballs, and grabbed a few of Roberto's old wood bats to add some fun decoration...
I'm pretty positive, no...I am absolutely positive that Anderson's nursery is my favorite room in our house. :)
...And there's still more to come! More pictures coming very soon after I get some shots of the work completed this weekend. :)
Emily, I don't know what is MORE amazing... how awesome this nursery is or how beautiful YOU look?? Anderson has the best nursery and pretiest Mommy :)
