Pregnancy Highlights
How Far Along: I’m 12 weeks J
Size of Baby: Baby Astacio is the size of a plum!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained ½ lb
Maternity Clothes: Not yet, but I have purchased a few things…getting sick of putting on jeans, or anything besides sweats & leggings for that matter…haha!
Gender: We find out April 17th! Can’t wait.
Movement: Nothing yet! Still got awhile for that.
Sleep: I’ve been sleeping great, almost TOO much. But, I should probably take advantage of that right now!
What I miss: My almost-daily Iced Venti Skinny Vanilla Latte…and I will really start to miss Diet Coke! (Though I’m not Catholic, I like the idea of sacrificing for Lent, so that’s what I’ve given up!—Better for me and baby too, so I’m going to try to give it up for the rest of the pregnancy—sticking to water & decaf iced tea!)
Cravings: I don’t crave one specific thing all the time, but when I get something in my head, I HAVE to have it…lately: a chocolate chip milkshake, smoothies, and bagel sandwiches! Mmmm!
Symptoms: I’ve been extremely lucky in that I have had literally NO sickness…the worst of my discomfort is feeling bloated 24/7 & some occasional indigestion. But, I will surely take that over constant nausea.
Best Moment this week: Hearing the baby’s heartbeat at my appointment today—SO cool. It’s really such a miracle & Roberto’s face was adorable when he heard it! His/her heartbeat is in the 160’s. Perfect! Doctor made a joke about thinking “pink,” and I just think it’s funny because everyone else has thought girl so far too! No idea, but apparently boys’ heartbeats tend to be a bit lower.
I will post a 12 week baby “pudge” picture tomorrow! Good night <3
