After a two week business trip to Mexico, Daddy is home! :) A and I are so happy to have him back with us.
Sweet lil man and I had craft time on Friday afternoon in preparation for Daddy's Saturday arrival. I thought it would be fun to make a little sign to take with us to the airport when we picked him up. So, enter cardstock, markers and stamp ink. Brilliant, or so I believed.
Keeping a 7 1/2 week old's hand un-curled up enough to get some ink on it and to imprint it safely on a piece of paper was quite difficult, yet entertaining. But, we did it! He looked at me like I was nuts the whole time [and he may be right]! The sign turned out, but clean-up did not go as predicted. I figured the blue ink would wipe right off his little hand [and mine] just like it washes right off the rubber stamps I use, but I was wrong. Fail. Anderson was a smurf-handed man for the remainder of the day and night, even after using wipes, soap and water, etc. That made for an interesting dinner out meeting some of Grammy's old work friends. We explained immediately, before they all had a chance to ask what in the world I had let my child get himself into!
It was all worth it to see daddy's face when we picked him up Saturday afternoon! :) This was our creation...
Anderson was so smiley and content all of Saturday evening, and maybe slept a total of 30 minutes from 4:30 p.m. until about 10:30 p.m. He must have been soaking up all his time with his daddy being home. It was so awesome to see Roberto with his bubs again & to hear how amazed he was at the amount of change in Anderson in just two weeks.
He REALLY gave daddy a nice, big, warm welcome home when he decided to surprise him with this...{look closely, that is, if you're not grossed out by baby poo}...
We heard him making this mess, but then looked down to notice that it certainly was not staying in his diaper! YUCK.
I couldn't contain my laughter, but Roberto did not quite enjoy the slow pace at which I was moving {taking pictures}.
He looks relieved, eh?
It's a smelly, messy life sometimes, but it's OUR life and we LOVE it all.
I almost posted pics of B's blowout from last night, but didn't get my camera out! Love it, so funny!
