It absolutely blows my mind that it has already been two months! Once again, I will say...best two months of my life. It's such a learning experience, but more so, a huge blessing. He has changed SO much this month!
Anderson was such a good boy at his two-month check up. The nurse and his pediatrician are always loving how alert and happy he is. He NEVER sleeps at the doc... He looks around and is so inquisitive. I'm sure he's thinking, "what are these people going to do to me this time?" But, he seems to like it and doesn't want to miss a thing! He also had his two-month shots, but he was such a trooper. He actually first drank some sort of liquid vaccine that they said prevents some sort of diarrhea virus {yuck!} and he loved it and swallowed every last drop. Then, it was time for them to prick him! Thankfully, they have combined 3 of the 4 vaccines into one shot, leaving just 2 pricks, instead of 4. The first was a stinger and he squealed for just 10 seconds, and then didn't even flinch with the second shot! Brave boy. :)
Here he is sportin' his cool blue band-aids and just chillin' on the exam table:
"What shots?"
"Mom...why are you taking pictures of me? Just hurry up and change me...don't you see my blue line?!"
I was scared he'd be fussy and miserable after the shots, but he didn't seem to really have any side effects. Just a small fever, which is normal, so a little Tylenol kicked that to the curb and he was a peaceful little sweetheart all day {and night} long.
His two-month stats:
Weight: 10 lb 5 oz [25th percentile]
Height: 21 3/4 in [between 10th & 25th percentile]
Head Circumference: Don't remember the measurement but it was in the 50th percentile!
Little boy with a big head! :) {Sorry buddy...mommy has a big ole melon}
What he's doing this month:
*Eating about 3 1/2 ounces [sometimes a tad more] of breast milk every 3 1/2-4 hours during the day, then a 4-ounce bottle of formula for the last feeding of the day before bedtime
*Wearing 0-3 month clothing {some still swallows him, but he's officially outgrown all the newborn stuff!}
*Still wearing size newborn diapers {we tried a size 1 and it seemed huge...but he'll be there SOON!}
*Smiling, giggling and cooing up a storm
*Holding his head up all the time
*Kicking and moving all over the place {He loves to just lay on the floor and chill out--or on the couch cuddled up with Lyla!}
And the BEST thing he's begun this month:
SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT! woo hoo!
He started sleeping through the night at 7 weeks, and has slept 9+ hours straight all but maybe 2 nights since then! He typically sleeps from about 10:30 or 11 until 8:00 or 8:30. GO ANDERSON!
Mommy and Daddy love you to stinkin' pieces, Anderson Lee... You are such a happy little boy and such a joy in our lives. We are so excited for your first Christmas! <3
