Don't judge me... I haven't even blogged about Anderson's Baby Dedication, Mother's Day, nor have I completed his 8 month post. BUT, Father's Day was SO much fun, I wanted to do that first! I think I was more excited planning Daddy's special day than I have been planning other holidays.
I made this timeline photo banner of pictures dating from our baby shower in Puerto Rico up until now. SUCH cute pictures {many that Roberto didn't even know I had taken} of my handsome boys. :)
I printed each photo in sepia, with a worn black border or a white canvas border, then put them on to light brown craft paper before hanging them with clothespins. You can see a close-up of a few below:
I couldn't even wait until Father's Day to put this up, because I was so pumped. Well, actually I put it up just "to practice," but it was more work than I thought, so I left it. I figured, heck, we can enjoy it longer!
I initially had plans of surprising him with everything on the morning of Father's Day including a big, yummy breakfast, however I sang at church, so that was a no-go. He got surprises & gifts through out the day instead!
Since I was at the church early, Tito got Anderson ready & decided to match him. So cute.
After church, we had a light lunch at Jimmy John's. Aren't those boys adorable?
Then later in the afternoon, we headed to my parents' house to grill out. Hamburgers & hot dogs were what the Dads requested! {Thankful we got to celebrate not only with our small family, but with my Dad and my sweet Gramps.}
Here are my little baseball boys again. :)
Maybe I'm partial, but I think Anderson is so precious in his new REDS hat!
Just before we ate our delicious burgers & dogs, Chinese slaw & banana pudding, Anderson surprised Daddy with the gift he made!
I let Anderson hand it to him {or eat it} on his own. And here is what was inside...
Of course I got this idea off Pinterest and figured it was perfect for the baseball-lovin' Daddy that Tito is! Getting Anderson's hand print on that ball was far from easy, but it didn't turn out too bad. Tito took it to work already to keep it on his desk, so I think he's pretty proud of his son's artwork. ;)
One last photo I just had to capture on Sunday evening....Anderson sported his 'Rad Like Dad' shirt all afternoon, and here they are glued to the TV watching the NBA finals. While I love this picture, I am a little sad that my BABY looks like a BIG BOY. Where has time gone?!
Roberto, I hope you had a wonderful first Father's Day. We love and appreciate you more than you know!!
Such a sweet post! Dad's rock! Good dads that is. :) His Rad like Dad shirt is too cute! He looks so grown-up Em! His hand print on the ball melts my heart.
