Empty Wall Space--HELP!

The painting has begun at the Astacio HOME! Wooooo. In the mean time, I've been brainstorming about what & how to decorate lots of open wall space. The dining room is underway right now & I'm so stoked! BUT, lately, I've been thinking about the foyer & upstairs hallway. Here are the "before" un-painted pictures of our boring, plain, dull entryway/foyer/hallway from standing upstairs. By the end of the week, these areas will be painted in Sherwin Williams 'Rice Grain,' but please help me with creative ideas for the bare walls!!

The view looking down from the balcony upstairs... Under the arched doorway on your the right is the dining room... :)

Big wall with lots of potential & an ugly, carpeted landing that needs some sprucing up! :) I have those wedding canvases leaning there, and have thought about hanging them there with some other decor & plaques I have...but I want YOUR ideas.

Walking up the stairs looking at the left side of the hallway...First door on left is the guest room & hallway walks into our Master <3

And the right side... We shall replace that light fixture at some point. The first door is another empty bedroom that will someday be the *nursery*, and door at the end on right is our guest bath!

Then a view from standing in the hallway upstairs...to the left (not pictured) is the 4th bedroom... and it's obvious that I need a valance on that window, don't I?! :)

How about someone comes & decorates my home for me and I can just walk in someday surprised! :) "After" pictures coming later...I promise.
